La Asuncion School is located in Xejuyup, which is three miles north of the Mission headquarters in Santo Tomas. Founded in 1996, La Asuncion is a combination junior-senior high school which teaches 464 students, many who would have no opportunity for education apart from this school. Approximately 125 students are boarded at the school because daily travel to and from some remote villages would be too difficult. The valuable education students receive at La Asuncion helps stop the cycle of poverty and provides a solid foundation for community development. Your donation to La Asuncion's General Use will enable the school to continue to educate the poor and marginalized in the Mission territory.
